Since 2009, hundreds of thousands of Global (formerly National) Day of Unplugging participants have joined the movement to elevate human connection over digital engagement in their cities across the globe.
Westborough Connects has joined the movement for Global Day of Unplugging 2025! This organization is all about community connections and helping bring people together. You can check out their Westborough Unplugs resource handout HERE to see how to reconnect your community.
For GDU 2025 they kicked off with an “Anxious Generation” Community Read and Book Club. They also had their big event Westborough Unplugs 2025 (May 4-10). In the summer you can find fun activities including an old fashion bike parade and a farmers market scavenger hunt where kids can try and spot Borough the Bee who will be hiding in a vendor booth each week.
