Welcome to our Unplugged Village®

Since 2009, hundreds of thousands of Global (formerly National) Day of Unplugging participants have joined the movement to elevate human connection over digital engagement in their cities across the globe.

Rebecca Dill (Mojo’s Espresso & Bistro) and JoEllyn Argabright (GrassRoots Institute) in Atwood Kansas have joined the movement for Global Day of Unplugging 2025! Located in the Heartland of the US, Atwood is a farming community and Mojo’s is a sweet little gathering spot that welcomes people to come in for some comfort eats and local news. Come in and play a board game, read a book or just grab a bite while you catch up with friends.

Grass Roots Institute is home to a garden hub, floral shop and community kitchen where people can learn about farm to table cooking and gardening through classes and events. They also have the Grassroots Farm (aka “The Patch”) with fun farm activities. Recently Mojo’s and Grassroots partnered to create an unplugged event, Mommy and Me Tea and Flower Arranging Party. Follow along to see what they cook up next!

If you live in the area and would like to have unplugged programming in your neighborhood, consider joining us, as we all have a stake in building a healthy community!
