Since 2009, hundreds of thousands of Global (formerly National) Day of Unplugging participants have joined the movement to elevate human connection over digital engagement in their cities across the globe.
Our very own Kim Cavallo (Co-Executive Director of Unplug Collaborative) brings her passion for unplugging to the big apple! For 2025, Kim is joined by Sound Mind Live, Knock Knock Give a Sock, the NYC YoYo Club, Stuyvesant High School and Dr. Samora Smith who are all working to elevate IRL connections.
Some activities include:
SoundMind Live - there will be a sober dance party on March 8, 2025
Stuyvesant High School - March 7, 2025 students will decorate t-shirts and write a break up letter to their phones.
Dr. Samora Smith offers ongoing sound baths, meditation sessions, retreats and more to various locations throughout the year. Check out her Spa Bath and Meditation Journey sessions at the Spa Castle in College Point NY.
