Welcome to our Unplugged Village®
Since 2009, hundreds of thousands of Global (formerly National) Day of Unplugging participants have joined the movement to elevate human connection over digital engagement in their cities across the globe.
Mira Vista Elementary school in Richmond has joined the movement since 2022 with PTA led efforts to help students and families unplug.
For GDU 2026 they will have the following activities: 4 campus scavenger hunts for the different grades, a birdwatching activity, a family pledge to unplug with a raffle contest for those who participate, a hike for families on the weekend and a new family game night.
If you live in the Richmond area and would like to have unplugged programming in your neighborhood, consider joining us, as we all have a stake in building a healthy community!
