Welcome to our Unplugged Village®

The High Point Museum is excited to bring the Global Day of Unplugging to the High Point community! As an institution focused on sharing Greater High Point’s history, providing perspective for current issues, and strengthening the sense of community, this movement aids us in furthering our mission. In the past we have had fun hands on activities including making a lovely community quilt. We have joined with multiple organizations to bring mindful and intentional programming to High Point. Consider joining us, as we all have a stake in building a healthy community!

To find out what they are doing for Global Day of Unplugging or for an overview of the High Point Museum, please watch the video and check their listing of Upcoming Events below.

    Saturday, March 8, 2025 10am-4pm

Celebrate Read Across America Week and participate in Global Day of Unplugging with the Museum! Take a break from electronics and let your imagination take the wheel. Hear storytelling on the hour between 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. from the comfort of your very own cardboard car! Decorate your car before the stories, then buckle in for a journey of imagination and reading. Between stories, the room will be filled with comfy furniture to read on your own. You’ll be able to take your car home, so parents, make sure to make room! Cars are available while supplies last. This sensory-friendly event is FREE and open to the public.

Jay Van Dyke - Top Rated Squarespace Web Designer in New Jersey

Hi, I’m Jay. I’m a freelance web developer who specializes in Squarespace, and I’ve been building and customizing Squarespace sites for over 9 years.

A lot of my experience comes from working inside the real constraints of the platform, not just designing pages but dealing with how sites actually behave once they’re live. That means things like layout limitations, styling edge cases, performance quirks, and the moments where Squarespace is great until it suddenly isn’t.

Most of what I write here comes directly from real projects, real questions, and real problems I see people run into with Squarespace every day.
