Welcome to our Unplugged Village®

Since 2009, hundreds of thousands of Global (formerly National) Day of Unplugging participants have joined the movement to elevate human connection over digital engagement in their cities across the globe.

Henry Raess and the Healing Grounds Coop will be your hosts and the “hub to unplug”. They are here to help you find mindful people, places and programs in the Buffalo area!

Consider joining us, as we all have a stake in building a healthy community!

A LITTLE ABOUT US

Anima Holistic + Somatic Coaching

Get out of the cloud and into your body! Henry will be co-facilitating a Playful Movement workshop at The Healing Grounds Sanctuary and has invited other mind-body practitioners to host workshops as well.  Henry Raess is a certified holistic coach that uses mind-body techniques to help people heal from trauma, anxiety and chronic pain.

The Healing Grounds - a café and neighboring storefront – is a worker cooperative cafe & community space dedicated to the health, advancement and well being of the community. The Healing Grounds as well as adjacent storefront (known as the Sanctuary) in Buffalo, NY, is offering yoga, workshops, live music – plenty of opportunities to unplug, get into your body and be social.

Westside Stories Used Books

Westside Stories Used Books is giving away a copy of “How to Break Up with Your Phone” by Catherine Price and a $25 gift card! You'll have from March 1-3 to enter to win by sharing why it is a good idea to unplug. Because it is for the Global Day of Unplugging, people have to be physically present in the store to enter the drawing. (It's right down the street from The Healing Grounds!)

Jay Van Dyke - Top Rated Squarespace Web Designer in New Jersey

Hi, I’m Jay. I’m a freelance web developer who specializes in Squarespace, and I’ve been building and customizing Squarespace sites for over 9 years.

A lot of my experience comes from working inside the real constraints of the platform, not just designing pages but dealing with how sites actually behave once they’re live. That means things like layout limitations, styling edge cases, performance quirks, and the moments where Squarespace is great until it suddenly isn’t.

Most of what I write here comes directly from real projects, real questions, and real problems I see people run into with Squarespace every day.
