Searching for a nature scavenger hunt and Rocky Racoon on a hayride at a vineyard.

Always a hit with kids and adults, scavenger hunts are a great way to unplug and connect. You can search for clues inside your house or your backyard. You can hide items in a location away from your home (example: a garden center or museum), or you can have multiple stops with posted clues (example: Little Free Libraries located in a community). You can even add a mascot to it for added fun (pictured here). Here are some options you can consider using:

Single Location Hunt (easy to coordinate) - Choose from downloadables:

Multi-Stop Hunt (moderate level of coordination) - create your own clues or use our Canva templates for Gnomes, Fairies, Nocturnal Creatures or our NEW DRAGON CLUES. Here is a guide to using Canva Templates so you can edit documents.

Additional things to think about are to add decorations that go along with your theme, promote your event (via social media, community boards and local media), and ask local businesses if they will donate items or a gift certificate that you could use as prizes.

Promote it! Here is a Media Alert and Social Media Guide you can use to help promote your event plus a Link to share your photos (pre-event or at the event).
