Since 2009, hundreds of thousands of Global (formerly National) Day of Unplugging participants have joined the movement to elevate human connection over digital engagement in their cities across the globe.

The Warren Coalition spearheaded by Celeste Brooks, has joined the movement and engaged over 20 community organizations to create an amazing Warren County IRL Day for Global Day of Unplugging (GDU) 2024. This included a glow party for high schoolers, hyper bowling, art contest, nature hikes and scavenger hunts, art contest, create a gnome workshop, martial arts demo, board games, sweet treats, a planting party and more. A proclamation was received from the Front Royal Town Council - check out the article in the Northern Virginia Daily.

They continued their all around awesomeness for GDU 2025. The event kicked off with sirens blaring and businesses around town provided special sales, activities, and events from sundown March 7th, through sundown on March 8th (click the link HERE for details). The Warren Coalition received our 2025 Unplugged Village Award/Community Effort hosting over 500 participants!

GDU 2025 was filled with many fun activities in Front Royal VA!
