Welcome to our Unplugged Village®

Since 2009, hundreds of thousands of Global (formerly National) Day of Unplugging participants have joined the movement to elevate human connection over digital engagement in their cities across the globe.

Welcome to Kailua’s Unplugged Village - led by Summer Rothwell of Yoga Under the Palms. This is a small chain of yoga studios located on O‘ahu Hawaii. We are a low tech studio - no streaming, no recording, no heaters. Most classes are held outdoors on our yoga lanais where we are surrounded by nature.  Our natural settings encourage students to disconnect from the high tech world and focus on being present.

Date: Friday March 7th, 2025 / 6:30pm

Location: Yoga Under the Palms Kailua (Kailua)

Event Name: Feel Good Flow & Meditation Unplugged

Teacher: Victoria Williams

Event Description: Are you ready to step away from the digital world and connect with what truly matters? Elevate human connection over digital engagement with gentle yoga and guided meditation in partnership with Global Day of Unplugging.  This is an all levels class designed to make you feel good physically with guided meditation to help you disconnect and explore a less connected world.

Phone napsacks to hold/lock up your phone will be provided at check in.  Maybe you always leave your phone behind for yoga and are ready to unplug for a longer length of time. Maybe locking up your phone is a new challenge. Meet yourself where you are and embrace the benefits of unplugging!

Check out Yoga Under the Palms HERE.

If you live in the area and would like to have unplugged programming in your neighborhood, consider joining us, as we all have a stake in building a healthy community!

Jay Van Dyke - Top Rated Squarespace Web Designer in New Jersey

Hi, I’m Jay. I’m a freelance web developer who specializes in Squarespace, and I’ve been building and customizing Squarespace sites for over 9 years.

A lot of my experience comes from working inside the real constraints of the platform, not just designing pages but dealing with how sites actually behave once they’re live. That means things like layout limitations, styling edge cases, performance quirks, and the moments where Squarespace is great until it suddenly isn’t.

Most of what I write here comes directly from real projects, real questions, and real problems I see people run into with Squarespace every day.
