Charleston, South Carolina
Welcome to our Unplugged Village®
Since 2009, hundreds of thousands of Global (formerly National) Day of Unplugging participants have joined the movement to elevate human connection over digital engagement in their cities across the globe.
The College of Charleston’s Dr. Kelley Cours-Anderson has joined the movement and is here to help you find mindful people, places and programs in the Charleston area. You can check out the info below to see what they are up to.
Megan Murphy is a new arrival to the Charleston area, bringing her Life Coaching program and The Kindness Rocks Project to it’s new Southern home base. Megan started this program in 2015 on Cape Cod, where she began leaving painted rocks with inspirational messages on beaches for others to find. The tag line “One message at just the right moment can change someone’s day, outlook, or life!” has led to a global awareness initiative, and you can find people creating Kindness Rocks gardens all over the world! We highly recommend this activity for individuals or for leading gatherings as it’s a fantastic way to unplug and keep your hands busy while mindfully putting positivity out into the world.
