Farmers Market Activation
Bring Something Real Back to Your Community With a Fun Scavenger Hunt !
One of our favorite activations is hosting a Scavenger Hunt at local farmers markets. Kids search for a plush mascot and take their parents along for the ride. Families laugh, connect, and build a new weekly habit — unplugging without guilt or lectures!
Here’s the reality:
Screen time is off the charts.
Polarization is pulling communities apart.
Youth mental health struggles are at an all-time high.
GDU offers a joyful, practical way to be part of the solution!
We are looking for sponsors to help spread this movement to more schools and neighborhoods while shining a light on your agency’s local impact.
We’re currently looking for 20 people nationwide to host community activations for the upcoming 17th annual Global Day of Unplugging, celebrated March 6–7, 2026 (though events can take place any time of year).
Why join in?
→ Strengthen community trust and visibility through a positive, family-focused cause.
→ Bring people together around digital balance, a message that matters right now.
→ Get a turnkey activation kit and planning support from the GDU team.
→ Maximize exposure by connecting your activation to GDU’s national media wave and engaging your local press.
→ Enjoy tax-deductible sponsorship benefits and national visibility through GDU’s campaign.
Bonus: Anyone who signs up before December 15 will receive a special thank-you package (including a surprise gift)!
